Welcome to Utah Mandarin Immersion Parents Council (UMIC)

This is a forum for sharing ideas, tips and resources to support your kids’ Mandarin learning. It was started by a group of parents in Utah who believe the surge in bilingual education in the U.S. is long overdue. The prevailing teaching method – immersion – is catching on in classrooms throughout Utah and the nation. It’s a big commitment and learning curve for everyone. A free, honest exchange of information and ideas will benefit us all.
